Rooftop Resort is a hidden gem and absolutely worth a stay. Here's what you need to know:
- Location: One block from the beach in Hollywood, FL. Easy access to both Fort Lauderdale (15 min north) and Miami (30 min south).
- The vibe: 32 rooms, rooftop pool with intracoastal and ocean views, clothing-optional everywhere. It's small and intimate — not a big resort, more like a boutique lifestyle hotel.
- Amenities: Rooftop pool, sauna, playrooms for couples and groups, continental breakfast included, weekend BBQs and parties.
- The crowd: Varies by weekend. Some weekends it's mostly couples in their 40s-50s enjoying a quiet clothing-optional getaway. Other weekends (especially when they host themed events) it gets lively with 30-50 guests.
- Pricing: Reasonable for South Florida — $150-250/night depending on room and season. All rates include breakfast, parking, and access to weekend events.
It's perfect as a home base for a South Florida lifestyle weekend. You get the clothing-optional pool experience during the day, then Uber to Trapeze Club (15 min) or Miami Velvet (35 min) at night, and come back to a lifestyle-friendly hotel where nobody bats an eye.
Book a top-floor room for the best views. And the rooftop pool at sunset is genuinely beautiful.

We stay at Rooftop Resort every time we visit South Florida. It's become our go-to. The rooftop pool on a Saturday afternoon with a rum punch is heavenly. We've met couples at the pool who we then run into at Trapeze later that night — it creates this wonderful continuity. The rooms are basic but clean, and honestly you spend most of your time at the pool or out at clubs anyway.
